Reacting to the Government’s announcement that Clacton was one of 55 places which would receive £20million over the next ten years as part of the Long Term Plan for Towns, Tendring District Council Leader Councillor Mark Stephenson said: "This level of investment is certainly something to be welcomed, and I am encouraged by the long-term element of this funding which will hopefully support sustained improvements over time to Clacton and the surrounding area.
"We wait to see further details of this new initiative, and how it will support our existing Levelling Up Fund work in the district, and our wider Levelling Up Partnership.”
