Nominations are closing soon for entries to the 2023 Tendring4Growth Business Awards.

Nominations close on Sunday, 4 June for entries to the seven categories in the Tendring District Council-run (TDC) awards.

Firms, individual employees or sole traders based in the area can be nominated, with a judging panel whittling down the entries to a shortlist ahead of the awards ceremony taking place at Clacton’s Princes Theatre this Autumn – as part of the Tendring4Growth Business Fortnight.

Colbea, the enterprise and business support agency, is headline sponsor of the awards this year.

Ivan Henderson, TDC Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Regeneration and Tourism, urged people to submit their nominations.

“The judges can only consider nominations put in front of them – so if you own or run, work for, or use a fantastic Tendring business, then put them forward,” Cllr Henderson said.

“Time is now running out, so don’t delay and make your nomination now; it’s quick and easy to do to recognise a great firm, sole trader or business leader in our district.”

This year’s award categories are:

• Food & Drink Producer

• Tourism – sponsored by Clacton Pier

• Women in Business – sponsored by Red Nova

• Digital & Technology – sponsored by Rose Builders

• Creativity & Culture – sponsored by the Princes Theatre

• Independent Retailer – sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses

• Entrepreneur of the Year – sponsored by Backing Essex Business

In addition this year there will be a Headline Sponsor Award, presented by our headline sponsor Colbea, with the winner chosen from all those shortlisted for the other categories.

Nomination forms and the award criteria can be found at www.tendringdc.gov.uk/business/tendring4growth-business-awards.

There are still some sponsorship opportunities left for the awards, if you are interested in sponsoring then contact the Tendring4Growth team at tendring4growth@tendringdc.gov.uk.
