Tenant Involvement

In 2016, we introduced our Tenant Involvement Strategy and Action covering the period 2016 to 2019. This strategy sets out our commitment to involving our tenants in our housing services and aims to make sure that tenants know how they can get involved, when they can get involved and the difference that their involvement can make.

Our vision is to ensure that tenants have a wide range of opportunities to be involved at a level they choose and that their involvement is an integral part of our business which makes a difference and improves services.

The levels of involvement that we aim to provide will include:

• Provision of information - where we send you a letter or other means of correspondence to let you know what is planned.
• Consultation - where we ask for your views and comments and take these into account before making a decision
• Participation - where decisions are made jointly.
• Co-regulation - monitoring performance and promoting transparency.

We have also set up a Customer Involvement Register to enable you to choose the way you want to be involved, for example taking part in the occasional survey or joining our Tenants Panel, as well as the topics you would like to be involved in.
